Tulsa’s Route 66 Capital Cruise
The University of Tulsa is excited to welcome thousands of guests to campus for the Capital Cruise car parade on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
UTulsa’s south entrance, facing East 11th Street along historic Route 66, provides a dramatic welcome to the university’s residential campus. Components of the entrance include the five-acre Chapman Commons, the lighted Genave King Rogers Fountain, lovely oak trees, and Tucker Drive. Chapman Commons provides a picturesque front door for campus and facilitates outdoor gatherings – both small and large. On football game days, Chapman Commons is the primary site for Golden Hurricane tailgate parties.
