Building a Bridge to Teamwork: A Teamwork and Communication Interprofessional Event

Students will be tasked to build the strongest bridge they can with using materials provided (foam legos, plastic straws, popsicle sticks, etc). The catch is, within their team, they will only build the left or right half and NOT be able to see what the other side is doing. There will be a winning team (with prizes) based on whose bridge can hold the most weight!

The second part of the event is a communication simulation. Students will be provided a task to complete, but some students will have specific roles to play to make that tasks more difficult. This event will really focus on communication styles with different types of people in group settings.
