Students will be tasked to build the strongest bridge they can with using materials provided (foam legos, plastic straws, popsicle sticks, etc). The catch is, within their team, they will only build the left or right half and NOT be able to see what the other side is doing. There will be a winning team (with prizes) based on whose bridge can hold the most weight!
The second part of the event is a communication simulation. Students will be provided a task to complete, but some students will have specific roles to play to make that tasks more difficult. This event will really focus on communication styles with different types of people in group settings.
TU students join Student Life for an escape room at Fisher West. Form a group of 3-4 people and head to Fisher Suites on Oct. 31 to take on an interactive Escape Room in Fisher Suites! You’ll work through all 4 floors of the hall trying to escape, following the mystery of the TU mascots, trying to uncover what happened to Captain Cane and why he was replaced with Gus-T. There will be prizes for the fastest team to escape. Bring your team to the hall lobby (west of Pat Case), to get in line. Entrance of teams will be staggered every 15 minutes.
The Moon Festival (also known as Mid-Autumn, Harvest Moon, or Mooncake Festival) is a traditional festival celebrated in China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and other East and Southeast Asian countries. This holiday honors the full moon, which symbolizes prosperity, unity, fortune, and fertility. TU’s Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) and Asian American Student Association (AASA) will celebrate the Moon Festival on Friday, Sept. 29, with free food, performances, raffles, games, DIY lanterns, sparklers, and a Thai tea + Mooncake fundraiser!

- Tuesday, Feb. 28: Clothing and food drive in the Hardesty Archway from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drop off gently-used clothing in good condition or nonperishable food items for charity. There will also be a Venmo tag available for cash donations.
- Wednesday, March 1: Warrior Obstacle Course in Collins Fitness Center from 5 to 8 p.m. $5 entry fee to participate. Winner will receive a crown, sash and $25 Chick-Fil-A gift card.
- Thursday, March 2: Cookout at the KA fraternity house from 5 to 9 p.m. $5 admission fee for hotdogs and soda. Raffle winners will be announced – don’t miss a fun evening of friendship and philanthropy!
