Join the Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as we open the new Chevron Multicultural Center! This space is dedicated to foster belonging and inclusion for our Multicultural Student Organizations, as well as the entire campus community – faculty, staff, and students! There will be food, music, zero-alcoholic drinks, games and door prizes! See you there!

BYX Casino Night

TU students are invited to join Beta Upsilon Chi at Sharp Chapel for casino night! Games will include Blackjack, Texas Hold-’em, and Roulette. There is a $5 entry fee, and proceeds will go to the Tulsa Dream Center.

Sex ‘n’ You: Sexual Health Resource Fair

The Office for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion is partnering with Tulsa community partner Take Control Initiative to
provide free sexual health education, sex health and period supplies, food, trivia, games, and a relaxing environment to students, and provide education and support for students before leaving for Spring Break.

Building a Bridge to Teamwork: A Teamwork and Communication Interprofessional Event

Students will be tasked to build the strongest bridge they can with using materials provided (foam legos, plastic straws, popsicle sticks, etc). The catch is, within their team, they will only build the left or right half and NOT be able to see what the other side is doing. There will be a winning team (with prizes) based on whose bridge can hold the most weight!

The second part of the event is a communication simulation. Students will be provided a task to complete, but some students will have specific roles to play to make that tasks more difficult. This event will really focus on communication styles with different types of people in group settings.

Escape Room at Fisher West Suites

TU students join Student Life for an escape room at Fisher West. Form a group of 3-4 people and head to Fisher Suites on Oct. 31 to take on an interactive Escape Room in Fisher Suites! You’ll work through all 4 floors of the hall trying to escape, following the mystery of the TU mascots, trying to uncover what happened to Captain Cane and why he was replaced with Gus-T. There will be prizes for the fastest team to escape. Bring your team to the hall lobby (west of Pat Case), to get in line. Entrance of teams will be staggered every 15 minutes.

Moon Festival

The Moon Festival (also known as Mid-Autumn, Harvest Moon, or Mooncake Festival) is a traditional festival celebrated in China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and other East and Southeast Asian countries. This holiday honors the full moon, which symbolizes prosperity, unity, fortune, and fertility. TU’s Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) and Asian American Student Association (AASA) will celebrate the Moon Festival on Friday, Sept. 29, with free food, performances, raffles, games, DIY lanterns, sparklers, and a Thai tea + Mooncake fundraiser!
