Hired Hurricane

Recently graduated and still looking for a job? About to graduate and wondering where to go from here? Take steps to secure your future by joining the CaneCareers Hired Hurricane! This crash course is designed to give recent TU grads (August and December 2023 and May and August 2024 graduates) the skills and information you need to research jobs, polish your resume and cover letters, perfect your elevator pitch and online profile, and network.

Following the workshop portion of the event, grads will have the opportunity to network with TU’s top employers and alumni mentors to help kickstart job their search. Don’t miss this opportunity to solidify your future and take steps toward finding your new job! FREE lunch will be available for all attendees, available for all attendees, followed by free cocktails during the networking hour.

Sex ‘n’ You: Sexual Health Resource Fair

The Office for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion is partnering with Tulsa community partner Take Control Initiative to
provide free sexual health education, sex health and period supplies, food, trivia, games, and a relaxing environment to students, and provide education and support for students before leaving for Spring Break.

Etiquette Dinner

TU students join CaneCareers and employers for a FREE dinner and networking cocktail hour! Learn about proper dining etiquette from guest speaker CareySue Vega from Expeditions in Etiquette, while enjoying a 3-course meal. A FREE mocktail and networking hour with employers will also be provided. Don’t miss this chance to boost your etiquette skills and strengthen your network!

This event is open to students of all majors and years and is FREE to attend; however, PRE-REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS REQUIRED. **Business casual is required; business professional is recommended.

TU Thanksgiving

TU students, faculty and staff join the Student Activities Board for a Thanksgiving Dinner at our home away from home!

Lights On TU

The University of Tulsa and greater Tulsa communities join the Student Activities Board in turning on 1 million blue and white lights campus-wide as we welcome the holiday season! Plenty of free food and desserts along with coffee, cocoa and cider (spiked available for sale with ID), as well as activities including make-your-own ornament, DIY jingle bells, writing letters to Santa, and s’mores. Everyone can enjoy Christmas caroling, free Goldie plushies, and photos with SANTA! (Lights On TU shirts will be available for TU students.)

Free parking is available in the lots at East Eighth Street and South Harvard Avenue just a short walk from Chapman Commons. Shuttles will be running for those needing assistance. Ride share drop-off is at the stop light at East 11th Street and Tucker Drive.

This annual all-ages event is open to the public.

11/11 Make a Wish

TU students join Student Life for 11/11 wishing-inspired event under the stars, students will be given journals to decorate, free food, and dreamy photo ops!

Women’s Soccer Giveaway

Calling all TU students! Visit the Student Activities Board at the women’s soccer game for a chance to grab some delicious Raising Cane’s chicken, enjoy hot chocolate, and score awesome TU scarves!

Music and Entertainment Executive Panel

TU students join the College of Arts and Science for The Music and Entertainment Executive Panel, which offers students a unique opportunity to gain insights into the dynamic process of forging a successful career within the music and entertainment industry. Distinguished panelists will candidly share their professional trajectories, shedding light on the diverse paths that have led them to positions of prominence and leadership. Attendees can anticipate not only inspiration regarding the vast prospects available within these fields, but also an understanding of the pathways The University of Tulsa is actively cultivating for aspiring professionals in these industries. As a token of appreciation, complimentary Chick-fil-A will be provided to all attendees.

Spice It Up

TU students join us in creating your own spice mix, a South African Braai BBQ seasoning! Free Chipotle will also be provided.
