Tulsa Mobility Challenge info session

During the spring 2023 semester, interdisciplinary student teams will be challenged to develop innovative transportation solutions for the City of Tulsa. Both undergraduate and graduate students can participate.

In an effort to expand mobility options for all Tulsans, the mobility strategy includes a recommendation that an university innovation challenge be held to seek diverse solutions to improve Tulsa’s transportation options in order to improve communities, equity and access for underserved Tulsans, attract new businesses, reduce vehicle emissions and make roadways safer.

This year’s competition will focus on improving equity and access for underserved Tulsans. Currently, too many Tulsans live too far away from reliable public transportation, thereby limiting their access to healthy food, health care and employment.

Students and faculty are invited to attend an information session on in Helmerich Hall’s JOLT Center. Representatives from the City of Tulsa will be attending to discuss the importance of this initiative. Food will be provided.
