Mock Mehndi

TU and Tulsa community join the South Asian Student Association and the Student Activities Board as we host a Mock Mehndi, a fake South Asian wedding, where we share our culture and traditions. There will be free food, performances, henna, bride and groom, and games!

GSA Early Winter Solstice & Cookie Decorating Event

TU students join The Graduate Student Association’s (GSA) for the much-anticipated “Early Winter Solstice & Cookie Decorating Event”! As we approach the end of the semester and the onset of winter break, the GSA team invites all students to indulge in an evening of festive fun.

Join your fellow students for an enchanting celebration of the early winter solstice. The event is not just a send-off for the semester; it’s a gathering designed to foster connections and create lasting memories. As the semester concludes, let’s come together to embrace the camaraderie that makes our graduate community unique.

Get ready to unleash your creativity during our cookie decorating extravaganza! From seasoned cookie connoisseurs to those embarking on their first decorating adventure, everyone is welcome.

EXSS Club Lunch & Learn

TU students join the Exercise Sports Science club to hear from Ellen Paulson from OU-TU School of Medicine.  Lunch will be provided.

Goldie’s Health Gala

TU community join OCHNS School of Nursing at the Hutcherson YMCA to host Goldie’s Health Gala. The SON has a unique partnership with the YMCA in which the sophomore and junior level students will be performing health assessments while the senior level students will be providing public health education to members of the YMCA. Everyone is welcome!

Sterlin Harjo – Master Class

Filmmaker Sterling Harjo (Reservation Dogs, Four Sheets to the Wind, Mekko) will conduct a Master Class with TU Film Studies majors Nov. 8. After meeting at his production space, Mr. Harjo will work with the students in analyzing a scene from the pilot episode of Reservation Dogs. This is a closed event.

Studio 151 (Podcasting Lab): Spooky Season Talk

TU students you are invited to Studio 151’s very first event of the semester this Friday. We will have pizza (pepperoni + cheese), soda, board games, and enjoy true crime podcast together. We are located at Kendall Hall (entrance by the tennis court). We will put up signs around the building for you to follow.

Gender and Sexuality Across Cultures

TU students join the Student Alliance for Violence Education (SAVE) for a discussion about gender and sexuality across cultures! Decorate a pride fan while enjoying cookies and learning about other cultures.

Sweaters & SWMM

TU students join the Society of Women Minorities in Medicine for Sweaters and SWMM! Wear and sweater and meet healthcare professionals who will help you gain insight and build your resume and knowledge!

Diwali – the Festival of Lights

TU community join SASA, AASA, and APIDA as they present Diwali, the Festival of Lights. There will be performances, henna, jewelry vendors, sparklers, and food! For outside guests, an $8 fee will be charged for food.

Pride Pumpkin Painting

TU students get ready for Pride Week & spooky season by painting your own pumpkin at Little Blue House! At this come-and-go event, we’ll supply the pumpkins and paint. You bring your creativity!
