Tandy School of Computer Science Open House

We are delighted to extend an invitation to the 2nd semi-annual Tandy School of Computer Science Open House. Join us for an evening of innovation and discovery.

Tulsa Cyber Summit

The University of Tulsa’s Oklahoma Cyber Innovation Institute invites cyber professionals, faculty, and students for an enlightening series of presentations from regional cyber experts in the academic, business, and investment industries. The summit will also showcase The University of Tulsa’s Cyber Fellows as they present abstracts on their research. Preview the full summit agenda here.

Attendees will be able to interact with four panels (military, Cyber Fellows, local business leaders, and CISOs) during Q&A sessions, and limited opportunities to participate in tours of North Campus research facilities and the National Computer Forensics Lab will be available.

Complimentary lunch provided for attendees who register before midnight (Central) Thursday, April 18. Lunch is not guaranteed for attendees who register after this deadline, however convenient dining options are available in the Student Union’s food court, including Subway, Chick-fil-A, and Einstein Bros. Bagels.

Collegiate Back to School Game Jam 2023

Get your creative juices flowing as we kick off the school year with the Collegiate Back to School Game Jam 2023!

This 48-hour game jam is open to college students worldwide! Whether you’re a first-year student just starting your journey or returning to campus after summer break, if you’re passionate about gaming, this event is for you.

Join us on the second floor of Rayzor Hall to join a group and get jamming.

Computer Simulation and Gaming Conference

The Computer Simulation and Gaming Conference (CSGC) brings together students, educators, professionals and enthusiasts for two days of STEM learning, innovation, networking and gaming. CSGC also hosts acclaimed competitions in Game Development & Design and Simulations & Graphics, open to students K-12, college students and indie professionals.

Tandy School of Computer Science open house

See senior projects and student research during the semi-annual Tandy School of Computer Science open house. Enjoy light snacks as faculty, students, alumni, family and friends engage with students’ work.

Back-to-School Game Jam

This is a 3-day event (48 hours) in which participants of various skill levels and expertise join together to build games. The University of Tulsa will host this inaugural event as a partner with the Global Game Jam (GGJ) organization.

The event will kick off at 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23, on the second floor of Rayzor Hall. Teams will be formed and work will commence until 10 p.m.; teams will return to work on the projects from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, and again on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will wrap up with each team on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 3 p.m. taking turns demoing the games they created.

Teams can come together already formed or you can find a team at the event. Teams can choose where to work on campus and take breaks according to their schedules and availability.

No experience is required and we welcome TU students from all majors to take part in this event. Programmers, artists, musicians and more are all welcome to come to participate.

The GGJ has partnered with Photon, a multiplayer plugin for Unity, to offer prizes for winning game submissions nationally.
