Join us 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20 for an online session that will give you insights into an international internship opportunity in Latin America with the “best rated local organization!” Learn more about how you can gain real-world experience while immersing yourself in new cultures.
This session is designed for pre-health students preparing to apply to graduate health professions programs in the upcoming application cycle. This workshop provides an overview of application timelines, the Pre-Health Committee process, required application materials and what to expect after submitting your applications. Students will also learn when and how to complete key milestones, such as requesting letters of recommendation, taking admissions exams and drafting personal statements.
This workshop is designed for pre-health students who plan to submit their graduate school applications in 2027, for 2028 program start dates.
Students planning to request a Pre-Health Committee Letter (typically pre-med and pre-dental students) must attend one Application 101 session in the fall before they apply. Attendance is strongly encouraged for students pursuing other pre-health tracks (e.g., pre-vet, pre-PT, etc.).
An additional session is offered on at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov 4. If you cannot attend either session, makeup options will be available (email josie-uerling@utulsa.edu for more information).

Whether you’re applying to medical, dental, physician assistant, veterinary medicine or any other health professional school, this workshop will help you build the skills and confidence needed to succeed during the interview process.
We will discuss common interview formats, strategies for preparing thoughtful and authentic responses and techniques for effectively communicating your experiences and motivation to fit for your chosen profession. Following the presentation, students will have the opportunity to practice interviewing with their peers and receive constructive feedback in a supportive environment.
