Williams Route 66 Marathon

Cheer on athletes from across the country! The Williams Route 66 Marathon is taking participants through campus on Sunday. You can spot them along Delaware Avenue, Eighth Street, Tucker Drive, Gary Place and Fourth Street.

Thousands of spectators and participants are expected to attend this Boston Marathon-qualifying event, and significant traffic congestion is anticipated. Because of this, many streets on and around the campus will close from 8 a.m. until early afternoon Sunday, Nov. 23.

Drivers will not be able to enter or leave campus using:

• The south gate for University Square West
• The gate for Mayo Village onto Eighth Street

To help ensure students, faculty and staff can come-and-go with ease, UTulsa Security will open the following routes:

• The 11th Street gate for Mayo Village
• The north gate for University Square West
• The Harvard Gate for Brown Village
