
UTulsa Symphony President’s Concerto-Aria Concert

The University of Tulsa Symphony Orchestra will celebrate another successful performance season with the “President’s” Concerto-Aria Concert on Monday evening May 5th beginning at 7:30 PM in the Lorton Performance Center’s Gussman Concert Hall on the campus of the University of Tulsa. The concert will feature School of Music concerto/aria competition winners: Norah Hager, trombone performing the first movement of the Trombone Concerto by Launy Grøndahl; soprano Abigail Sogn will sing the aria “Steal Me, Sweet Thief” from the opera The Old Maid and the Thief by Menotti; and cellist Kiersten Schaub will perform the first movement of the Cello Concerto by Antonin Dvorak. Conductor Richard Wagner will also lead the orchestra in music by Mendelssohn and Hindemith.
The concert is free and open to the public.
