TU + TAUW Day of Caring
September 15, 9:00 am-1:00 pm
TU is proud to support Tulsa Area United Way (TAUW) efforts to improve lives and strengthen our community. Our 2023 campus-wide campaign kicks off with the “Day of Caring” Sept. 15, when TU volunteers will improve Kendall-Whittier Elementary School’s courtyard water gardens and plant flowers in the front flower beds from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This project will occur mainly outdoors, with water and lunch provided to all volunteers.
If you can’t make it in person, you can still participate! Through Sept. 15, TU will collect donated items benefiting Youth Services of Tulsa (YST). YST provides outreach, counseling, and innovative programming to runaway and homeless youth ages 14-24. Donated items can be dropped off at the Office of Civic Engagement on the second floor of the Student Union. View YST’s wish list online: https://www.yst.org/wishlist.
