TU Reading Series – Carolyn Mikulencak

The Department of English & Creative Writing welcomes essayist and fiction writer Carolyn Mikulencak to campus for a public event. Raised in Tulsa and a graduate of TU, Carolyn Mikulencak lives in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her writing has appeared in The Oxford American, Yemassee, Psychological Perspectives, Open: Journal of Arts & Letters and Southwest Review. Her story “Lonestar Overnight” won the 2018 David Nathan Meyerson Diction prize. Her chapbook, Center of the Universe, is forthcoming with Belle Pointe Press. She is currently working on a novel about watching three sisters in the house across the street. The reading is sponsored by the Department of English & Creative Writing.
