Thomas Aquinas Conference

The University of Tulsa’s Honors College, along with the Department of Philosophy and Religion and the Warren Center for Catholic Studies, is organizing a conference on March 7-9 to commemorate the historic anniversary of the “Angelic Doctor,” Thomas Aquinas.

The event will feature keynote speakers, joint sessions, and panel discussions by leading contemporary scholars exploring Aquinas’ life, work, and significance. Cultural elements include a Solemn High Mass in the Dominican Rite from the 13th century. Additionally, there will be a kickoff social, breakfasts, lunches, and a concluding banquet to foster camaraderie among participants. Panel sessions will showcase renowned scholars and highlight both graduate and undergraduate research on Aquinas, emphasizing his relevance across various fields such as theology, philosophy, literature, history, politics, economics, and the natural sciences.
