The AI Artist – Exploring AI’s Impact on Creative Industries
March 6, 12:00 pm-12:50 pm
Free
As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes copyright law, creative workflows and audience engagement, The AI Artist brings together leaders from music licensing, radio and visual media to examine what this transformation means for creators, executives and the future of entertainment.
Panelists include Kyle Nyquist, former copyright and licensing manager at Music Reports; Ali Shaw, music director at Perry Broadcasting’s 105.3 KJAMZ; and Ben Doerner, director of photography and film at Idea Ranch.
Together, they will discuss how AI is influencing copyright and licensing, radio curation and audience trust, and the evolution of visual storytelling and creative ownership across platforms.
Kicking off questions for the panelists will be Ted Cohen, the University’s Distinguished Entertainment Executive in Residence, widely known as the “Godfather of Digital Music.”
This student-moderated panel, led by Clarissa Jackson, is ideal for students in music, media, business, film and emerging technology, as well as creators and professionals interested in the future of the creative industries.
Presented by the Arts, Culture and Entertainment Management Program.
Free and open to the public. Arrive early for seating and join us for this focused, forward-looking lunchtime conversation at the intersection of art, technology and industry.
