Tarot and the Motion of Fate with T. Susan Chang

October 23, 7:00 pm-8:00 pm

Free

Join us for a series of Halloween-themed events at the Oklahoma Center for the Humanities (OCH)!

Colorfully illustrated and dense with lore, the 78 cards of the tarot attract our collective imagination both in times of turmoil and eras of reason.

In this lecture and live demonstration, we will explore the evolution of the cards over six centuries and their role as mirror and window for the cultures they occupy. What does a random card draw tell us about synchronicity? How can engage with symbol enrich our lives? And how can we preserve our sense of free will while entering into dialogue with Fate?

We’ll be giving away free copies of Chang’s book to the first 20 people, and attendees will have a chance to win a tarot deck!
