Route 66 Conference on Communication Disorders

The 2023 Route 66 Conference will be held in person at The University of Tulsa. Breakfast and lunch will be provided (gluten free and vegetarian options will be available). Large groups should register early to ensure adequate space.
Topic: A Holistic Approach to Assessment and Therapy for Adolescents and Adults Who Stutter
The featured speaker will be Farzan Irani, Ph.D., CCC-SLP. Irani is a professor in the Department of Communication Disorders at Texas State University. He has published and presented on treatment effectiveness in stuttering, telepractice and psychosocial and multicultural aspects of stuttering and other communication disorders. He serves as the coordinator for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Special Interest Group 4, Fluency and Fluency Disorders; on the editorial board of the American Journal of Speech Language Pathology; and as an associate editor for the Journal of Fluency Disorders. For this year’s conference, he will be presenting on an overview of strategies for the assessment and behavioral therapy of childhood-onset stuttering across the lifespan.
