Circle Cinema, AIML@TU, and CYB 4203/6203 Present: Ghost in the Shell (1995) – Educational Screening

Take a break from studying during reading days and immerse yourself in one of anime’s most visually stunning masterpieces! “Ghost in the Shell” combines breathtaking cyberpunk aesthetics, Kenji Kawai’s hauntingly beautiful score and groundbreaking animation that influenced everything from The Matrix to modern sci-fi cinema. This contemplative, atmospheric film offers the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge before finals while engaging with profound questions about identity, consciousness, and what it means to be human in an increasingly digital world.

For CYB 4203/6203 Spring ’26 students, the film brings course concepts to life, exploring AI autonomy, system security vulnerabilities, ethics and trust. No prior coursework is needed to appreciate this philosophical thriller that remains as relevant today as when it premiered nearly 30 years ago. Join us for a morning of gorgeous animation, thought-provoking themes and a chance to experience why this film is considered a great achievement both in animation and in science fiction cinema.

Concessions will be open for individual purchase – all students and faculty welcome!
