R and Archaeology Workshop

March 7, 1:00 pm-3:00 pm

Event Series Event Series (See All)
Free

UTulsa students are invited to attend an R workshop with emphasis on Archaeological data and analysis.

This week-long workshop is designed specifically for UTulsa students and faculty who are new to programming or looking to enhance their data analysis skills. By slowing down the pace, we’ll provide participants with a more accessible introduction to key tools in the tidyverse. Attendees will learn about basic computer processes and file structures, explore core tidyverse packages such as dplyr and ggplotz, and dive into machine learning approaches with tidymodels. By the end of the workshop, participants will understand how integrating R and the tidyverse into research projects can enhance reproducibility, support long-term project management, and provide access to cutting-edge statistical tools-all at no cost.
