Phi Beta Kappa’s Beta Chapter of Oklahoma at TU invites you to The John G. Gammie Triennial Symposium, “Cancel Culture Conversations.” The event includes a keynote lecture by Kathryn Lofton, Lex Hixon Professor of Religious Studies and American Studies, Professor of History and Divinity at Yale University. Admission to the symposium is free. We welcome all members of the TU and Tulsa communities to join in conversation together.
Symposium Schedule | Monday, Oct. 17
- 3:30-3:40 p.m. – Opening remarks
- 3:40-4:50 p.m. – Roundtable discussion between TU students, alumni, staff, faculty & administrators: Lindsey Cain, Brad Carson, Rosalind Hobbs, George Justice, Gaurav Kampani, Darian Fernanda Martínez, Justin Rawlins, Hana Saad, Elizabeth Smith
- 4:50-5:15 p.m. – Audience breakout group discussion
- 5:15-6:30 p.m. – Keynote lecture, Dr. Kathryn Lofton, followed by Q&A
- 6:30-7:30 p.m. – Reception in Sharp Chapel Atrium, food and beverages provided
