Musical Legacies of the Dust Bowl – Lecture Series

Join us Saturday, Oct. 8 for a series of public talks and a gallery exhibition on Musical Legacies of the Dust Bowl. These public talks will feature historians, authors, musicians and music producers, discussing the factors that went into (and legacies that arose from) Oklahoma music.

The first panel, Sharing Oklahoma Music, features an Oklahoma music historian and public radio host, a folk music historian and a nationally-recognized Oklahoma pianist. In our second panel, Making Music material, we will hear from a historian of recording technology, a local guitar and instrument technician and a member of a Tulsa-based music and art collective.
