Mental Health First Aid Training

Counseling and Psychological Services invites you to take part in an in-person Mental Health First Aid course 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 13th, in Helmerich Hall. Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you will learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to assist someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations and where to turn for help. A $40 course fee will be paid by your office/department; please discuss with your supervisor before registering. Email caps@utulsa.edu today to register.
