Kendall Kickoff
September 26, 5:00 pm-7:00 pm

Kickoff the new semester with Kendall College of Arts & Sciences at our annual picnic! Bring family and friends to Dietler Commons from 5–7 p.m. for music, food and fun and help us honor our 2025 Distinguished Service Award winners, Laurie (BS ’78) and Terry Brumbaugh.
The Kendall College of Arts & Sciences Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor given by the college, bestowed on our most accomplished alumni and friends. Service is one of the three cornerstones of a TU education—service to the institution, your community and your profession. Through their actions, individuals who receive this honor exemplify and embody this tradition. The mission of The University of Tulsa challenges our students to “welcome the responsibility of citizenship and service in a changing world,” and the recipients of this award live up to this challenge.
Over the years Laurie and her husband, Terry, have played a significant role in The University of Tulsa and Kendall College. Together, the two have supported initiatives such as the Alumni Association, TU Uncorked, Homecoming, the McFarlin Fellows, Public Radio Tulsa (KWGS) and Gilcrease Museum, to name a few. The couple were instrumental in helping launch the Kendall College Emergency Fund—which helps with retention of students who need tuition assistance due to unforeseen circumstances.
