Institute of Robotics & Autonomy Seminar: Spatial Intelligence Representation, Reasoning, and Planning

Please join us for a talk from Ritesh Sharma, Ph.D., from UTulsa’s Institute of Robotics & Autonomy about “Spatial Intelligence Representation, Reasoning, and Planning” presented by the Mechanical Engineering Department in the College of Engineering & Computer Science.

Ritesh Sharma, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral research associate at UTulsa’s Institute for Robotics and Autonomy. Previously, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Center for Intelligent Infrastructure, where he focused on developing AI-driven robots for intelligent infrastructure inspections. His research interests include efficient navigation structures, robotics, applied AI, and visualization. He earned his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California, Merced, where he conducted research on geometric path planning and navigation visualization. He also holds an M.S. in computer science from Oregon State University, with a focus on scientific visualization. His background spans computer graphics, computational geometry, robotics, visualization, and machine learning, with experience at multiple research labs in industry and academia.
