Indigenous Historical Trauma and Transformation Lecture

TU community join us at the TITAN Historical Trauma and Transformation (H2T) Keynote lecture delivered by Joseph P. Gone, Ph.D.!

Joseph P. Gone is an American psychologist. He is a Professor in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (Anthropology) and the Faculty of Medicine (Global Health and Social Medicine) at Harvard University. Gone also directs the Harvard University Native American Program. His focus includes reimagining mental health services, combining psychology and anthropology to understand cultural perspectives, and developing community-based programs. He’s published extensively, received numerous fellowships and awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, and actively mentors’ students exploring Indigenous well-being and the links between culture, colonialism, and mental health. Professor Gone’s work spans various fields, from cultural psychology to community mental health and medical humanities.
