“Imagining the Method” Film Series at Circle Cinema

$3 – $24Circle Cinema, Magic City Books, and the TU Department of Media Studies invite you to explore the world of method acting through the “Imagining the Method” film series. The series will feature three timeless films with three titans of method acting over three consecutive Fridays: “From Here to Eternity” on 4/19, “On the Waterfront” on 4/26, and “Rebel Without a Cause” on 5/3.

The series is organized by Dr. Justin Rawlins, TU professor of media studies and film studies, and the author of the new book “Imagining the Method.” Each screening will feature unique bonus material involving Prof. Rawlins and guests. All films start at 7pm, beginning Friday April 19 with Montgomery Clift starring in “From Here to Eternity.” The series continues with Marlon Brando in “On the Waterfront” on Friday April 26, and concludes with James Dean in “Rebel Without a Cause” on Friday May 3.
