Honors Student Discussion with Daniel Mendelsohn

Honors College students are invited to a discussion with celebrated author, critic and classicist Daniel Mendelsohn. Mendelsohn’s translation of Homer’s “The Odyssey,” has been hailed as the richest, most precise and musical version of the epic poem in English, conveying the beauty of its poetry, adventurous excitement and profound insights. Coffee and pastries will be available prior to the talk at 9 a.m. The talk begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Tyrrell Hall Auditorium.

Copies of Mendelsohn’s translation of “The Odyssey” will be available from Magic City Books.
