Hogue Gallery | Josh Butts Artist’s Talk & Opening Reception

The Alexandre Hogue Gallery presents “LIGHT•WEIGHT: Paintings from the Wilderness,” an exhibition of landscape paintings by UTulsa alumnus Josh Butts.

Please join us for an artist’s talk and opening reception on Thursday, Sept. 3:

• 5-6 p.m.: Josh Butts artist’s talk, Jerri Jones Lecture Hall, Phillips Hall Room 211
• 6-7 p.m.: Opening reception in the Hogue Gallery, main floor of Phillips Hall

Light refreshments will be served.

Butts’ creative practice spans a range of media, including drawing, editorial illustrations, oil paintings and large-scale murals. He is also the founder of the graphic design agency Scrambler Creative Services. This exhibition will feature a series of landscapes he painted while living and working in Wyoming.

The exhibition will remain on view through Oct. 1, 2026.

The Alexandre Hogue Gallery is open 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays. This show is free and open to the public.
