Henneke Center: Equipment for Living, What Happens in a Literature Classroom

April 18, 2024, 12:00 pm-1:00 pm

TU faculty, graduate students, and anyone teaching in the classroom are invited to join the Henneke Center lunchtime discussion with English professor Carlo Rotella, at Boston College. Dr. Rotella will be speaking about his forthcoming book exploring the lives of students during one semester of a freshman literature course. Using extensive interviews with students, the book delves into the inner lives of new college students at the beginning of the pandemic.

Professor Rotella writes for the New York Times Magazine, and his work has also appeared in numerous publications including The New Yorker, Critical Inquiry, American Quarterly, The American Scholar, the New York Times, the Washington Post Magazine, Harper’s, and Slate.
