In celebration of Women’s History, on Friday, April 4 (in the Alcove of the Union), Nurjahan (pronounced “newer”-jah-HAHN) Boulden, a Tanzanian belly dancer and gun violence survivor will provide a keynote and mini-workshop on the history, culture, and significance of belly dance as she’s known it and her intentional journey back to the art following her traumatic experience. UTulsa students, staff, and faculty (and their guests) are invited to join in on this beautiful story of resilience and love … of self and of life.
