Goldie Tree – Adoption Closed, But We’ll Need Wrapping Supplies!

November 26

UPDATE

All the Goldies have found a home!

Though the children on the tree have been adopted, we will still need lots of wrapping materials. If you would like to support the Goldie Tree project but were not able to adopt a child, please consider donating wrapping materials (i.e., wrapping paper, tissue paper, gift boxes and bags, and tape). Donations can be delivered to the McKee Veterans Success Center now through 5:00pm, Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024, during normal business hours.

–Original Message–

Many people find it challenging to provide gifts for the children in their lives this holiday season. The TU Student Veteran Association (TUSVA) and the McKee Veterans Success Center are proud to support the Goldie Tree, an annual project to supply gifts for the children of TU students, faculty, and staff who find themselves needing a little extra help. If you would like to nominate your child for the program and share their wish list with TUSVA, please register online before 5 p.m. Nov. 11. (Please note that present pick-up will be coordinated to protect your anonymity and will be Dec. 9-19.)

Last year, the Goldie Tree helped make the holidays extra special for nearly 40 children. We would love to be able to do so much more this year! If you or your group (department/organization) would like to sponsor a wish list, please email the Student Veterans Association at TUstudentvets@utulsa.edu or visit the McKee Veterans Success Center, 1025 Holmes Student Center, Oct. 30- Nov. 11.
