Bob founded Osage Partners in 1990 and has founded or co-founded several private equity and venture investment vehicles, including Osage Venture Partners (currently investing out of OVP VI), Osage University Partners (currently investing out of OUP IV), Cimarron Healthcare Partners, Osage Industries, Inc. and RAF NetVentures.
Bob is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, the home of his family’s fourth-generation family business. Prior to founding Osage, Bob clerked with the honorable Walter K. Stapleton, U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and practiced corporate law at the Philadelphia law firm of Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen. He is a graduate of The Yale Law School, where he was an editor of The Yale Law Journal, and of Yale College, from which he graduated summa cum laude.
Bob has served on multiple for-profit and non-profit boards. Among his non-profit activity, Bob was for 22 years a trustee of Thomas Jefferson University where he chaired the Innovation Pillar, and is a former Chair of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He served on the Board of Directors of the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, was a member of the Advisory Council of the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute and served on the Business Development Committee of The Wistar Institute. Bob has also served as a past member of The Yale Law School Fund, as a trustee of the Board of Friends Central School and as a former President of the Board of Trustees of The Philadelphia School. Bob’s current non-profit activity includes board or leadership roles at The Alliance for Decision Education, Emily’s Entourage and the Investment Committee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Bob and his wife Marta reside in Merion, PA. They have three grown children and two grandchildren.
