Film screening: “Through a Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People”

Join Gilcrease Museum at Circle Cinema for a screening of Thomas Allen Harris’ “Through a Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People.” Attendees will also hear from Don Thompson, photographer, former industrial engineer, educator and Greenwood documentarian, about the history of black identity through photography, and learn about the photograph of Willie Peevyhouse Davis that is currently on view at all Gilcrease in Your Neighborhood locations.

This program is for adults 18 and older. Capacity is limited and tickets are required. Tickets are $11 for Circle Cinema members, and $13 for non-members. Register by Friday, Sept. 13.
