D’Arcy Internship Applications Due
March 24
The University of Tulsa’s Kendall College of Arts & Sciences launched the D’Arcy Internship Program in 2016 to provide its students valuable professional experience across a range of fields — including art galleries and media outlets, policy institutes, city departments, and non-profits serving critical needs. The D’Arcy Internship helps students put such skills to immediate use, enabling them to gain valuable real-world experience, expand networks and explore career options before they graduate.
Funded through a generous estate gift from alumna and long-time TU supporter, Patti D’Arcy (BFA ’49), the D’Arcy Internship is a paid internship program that is competitive and challenging with a selective process that matches students with employers to benefit both. Employers have bright, capable and motivated interns for 8 weeks (260 hours) in the summer to help with special or ongoing projects, while interns get a glimpse of the workplace and its demands, bridging the gap between student and professional life.
Internships will be posted on the Golden OpporTUnities Handshake website and identified as D’Arcy Internships. Open to all rising juniors and rising seniors in Kendall College of Arts & Sciences the D’Arcy Internship consists of paid full time 260 hour summer internships in not-for-profit as well as for profit organizations and companies. Interested students should submit a cover letter, resume, a five to six page writing sample and/or portfolio site by the posted deadline. After the deadline for material submission passes, the selection process will begin with an initial round of interviews on-campus to screen applicants and then move to the final round of interviews with employers.
2024 summer internship applications will close at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, March 24. For questions about the D’Arcy Internship Program, please contact Kirsten Olds, director of the D’Arcy Internship, at kirsten-olds@utulsa.edu or Katie Norton at kjn808@utulsa.edu.
