Collins College of Business Distinguished Scholar Lecture with Garry D. Bruton, Bedford Professor of International Business at Texas Christian University

Over the past 50 years, China has made tremendous economic progress. Today the nation is the world’s second largest economy and increasingly many nations in the world seek to duplicate its economic system. In the United States, for example, the Federal Government is now pursuing unprecedented investments in private firms in a manner that mirrors China. Our Distinguished Scholar guest will utilize 28 years of studying China, inclusive numerous visits and longer-term stays, to look at the future of China and the world’s relationship with the nation. Garry is a Professor of Management at the Neeley School of Business, Texas Christian University. He is serving as an Associate Editor of the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. In the past, he served as the Editor of Academy of Management Perspectives, and an Associate Editor of the Journal of Management Studies. Garry is a High End Foreign Expert for the under 1000 Talents Program – China, an Honorary Professor at the School of Management, Jilin University, China and an Honorary Professor at School of Business, Sun Yat Sen University, China.
