Amateur Radio Winter Field Day

TU students join TU Amateur Radio for Winter Field Day, a communications exercise held on the last full weekend in January. Held in the form of a contest, operators test their equipment and skills in the harsh winter weather annually. The TU Amateur Radio Club Emergency Communications trailer will be setup and on the air around 1 p.m. on Saturday, contacting other operators around the country and globe via HF radio.

This event is held in partnership with The University of Tulsa Amateur Radio Club (KC5TU), and the Tulsa Amateur Radio Club (W5IAS). All are welcome to join us in learning about amateur radio, emergency preparedness, and radio frequency technology!
