2025 ORU x UTulsa Design Challenge

Our second annual Design Challenge with The University of Tulsa and Oral Roberts University Entrepreneurship Centers cross-town collaboration is back! We are hosting a “Design Challenge” where students will get the opportunity to develop business concepts and MVP strategies in just 48 hours. This event will allow students to participate in workshop style instruction and get face-to-face feedback and mentoring for their business ideas and concepts. Students can compete at the end for cash prizes awarded to the top 3 concepts. NO PITCHING REQUIRED!
How does it work? Friday, Oct. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. – We will take students through a 4-part ideation module where they will get into the weeds on product/service development, customer discovery and truly identifying the problem they are solving.
Saturday, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – We will pair up each student team with a mentor that will provide feedback, guidance and expertise as they build. Students will be asked to present their ideas, progress and 2-3 action steps at the end of the session. The top 3 most impressive ideas/concepts will win cash prizes!
