Music Recital featuring Meray Boustani & Whitney Hollis

Soprano, Meray Boustani and Pianist, Whitney Hollis present a recital celebrating Armenian culture and heritage featuring the music of Vardapet Komitas, widely considered the father of Armenian music. The program will also include the cycle, Emerald Songs (Zmrukhti), by Romanos Melikian, dedicated to the Armenian Genocide. Commentary will be provided by University of Tulsa Alumna, Sylvia Alajaji, Associate Professor and Department Chair of Music at Franklin & Marshall College.​ The recital will be held Tuesday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lorton Performance Center Meinig Recital Hall, and is free and open to the public.
