Baccalaureate

Believed to have originated in the early 15th c. at Oxford University, the Baccalaureate service is religious in nature providing the opportunity to reflect upon and celebrate the significance of the rite of passage expressed through graduation.

At The University of Tulsa, Baccalaureate begins the celebratory festivities of the Commencement weekend and is held in the beautiful and stately sanctuary of Sharp Memorial Chapel.

Graduates are invited to wear their caps and gowns. Family and friends are welcome.

Celebratory Baccalaureate Luncheon follows on the South Lawn of Sharp Chapel.
