Another View of the Tulsa Race Riot: A Lecture by Herb Boyd

Herb Boyd is an award-winning journalist and the author of twleve books on topics in black history and activism including biographies of James Baldwin and Sugar Ray Robinson as well as a history of African-American life and politics in Detroit.

His talk will look at the Tulsa Race Riot in the context of American civil disorder and will draw on Harry Haywood's eyewitness account of the event as a member of the African Blood Brotherhood.

Free and open to all.

The lecture given by Mr. Herb Boyd on the Tulsa Race Riot's was amazing. His focus on a particular view point of a gentleman that was a victim of the riots was very informative and added a perspective I had not seen before.
